About the role…

  • Maintain IS Networld H&S Certification
  • Develop Environmental System with long term goal to achieve ISO14001
  • Oversight of the overall H&S and Quality function for the business
  • Key contact on all H&S matters for clients and staff
  • Preparing quality plans for each project, and monitoring follow through
  • Promoting a positive and effective H&S culture
  • Ensuring all H&S requirements are communicated and complied with
  • Maintaining and refining systems with a focus on effectiveness and efficiency
  • Investigation and reporting of incidents
  • Managing the use of ISO2015 to ensure certification is maintained
  • Transfer systems from ACC Tertiary to ISO45001 H&S Standard (Telarc)

About you and your background…

  • Solid experience in construction or civil engineering as a H&S practitioner
  • Understanding of ISO 2015 systems and requirements
  • Conducting site safety meetings including training and policies
  • Investigations, collation of data for audits and reports
  • Best practise for injury management and prevention
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the NZ OHS legislation and Codes of Practice
  • Excellent skills in communication, influencing, negotiating and networking
  • Self-motivated, innovative and prepared to think beyond the boundaries
  • Computer savvy and experience in ISO systems
