About the role:
Day to day you will be the right-hand person supporting the Supply Chain Manager with a varied range of tasks including but not limited to:
Helping to meet inventory requirements by aligning with demand forecasts
Monitor stock levels, update systems, track orders, and maintain accurate records
Support order processing and quality control, ensuring accurate documentation
Support with data entry, ensuring accuracy at all times
Communicate with international suppliers to ensure stock needs are met
Build strong relationships with internal and external teams, providing accurate information
Administer the scheduling and resourcing for Supply Chain order management
Support purchasing, procurement, and resource allocation in line with business strategy
Advise on outsourcing initiatives, creating standards for drumming, packaging, and containerisation
Promote and uphold Nexans' values in all supply chain processes
This is a 40-hour role working Monday to Friday for a Fixed Term period of 3 months
The ideal Supply Chain Assistant:
A can-do attitude
Strong attention to detail is a must
Strong initiative and problem solving skills
Previous experience in Sales, Supply Chain or Operations desirable
Enjoys a varied and busy role
Works well under pressure
Team player
Strong computer literacy skills
Honest, reliable, and have excellent communication skills
Able to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Experience using Microsoft Suite or SAP desirable
