 About the role: 

Day to day you will be the right-hand person supporting the Supply Chain Manager with a varied range of tasks including but not limited to:

  • Helping to meet inventory requirements by aligning with demand forecasts

  • Monitor stock levels, update systems, track orders, and maintain accurate records

  • Support order processing and quality control, ensuring accurate documentation

  • Support with data entry, ensuring accuracy at all times

  • Communicate with international suppliers to ensure stock needs are met

  • Build strong relationships with internal and external teams, providing accurate information

  • Administer the scheduling and resourcing for Supply Chain order management

  • Support purchasing, procurement, and resource allocation in line with business strategy

  • Advise on outsourcing initiatives, creating standards for drumming, packaging, and containerisation

  • Promote and uphold Nexans' values in all supply chain processes

This is a 40-hour role working Monday to Friday for a Fixed Term period of 3 months

The ideal Supply Chain Assistant:

  • A can-do attitude

  • Strong attention to detail is a must

  • Strong initiative and problem solving skills

  • Previous experience in Sales, Supply Chain or Operations desirable

  • Enjoys a varied and busy role

  • Works well under pressure

  • Team player

  • Strong computer literacy skills

  • Honest, reliable, and have excellent communication skills

  • Able to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Experience using Microsoft Suite or SAP desirable
