Minimum Wage Increase as Planned

Min Heading.jpg
  • Employees working from home or work must be paid at least the new minimum wage for each hour they work.

  • If the Employer is unable to process the increase in the pay system due to lockdown requirements, this can be backdated at a later date.

  • If no work in being performed, the Employer is able to fall back on the Wage Subsidy, they are required to make their best endeavours to pay at least 80% of their pre-COVID income, and at least must pass on the full subsidy amount. If no work is being performed there is no requirement for the Employer to pay minimum wage.
