An experienced and supportive Board that believes in governance, not micromanagement
A values driven culture where people, relationships and dignity sit at the heart of every decision
About Trinity
For generations, Trinity has been part of the fabric of the South Taranaki community.
With roots dating back to 1956 and a proud not for profit history, Trinity exists for one simple purpose, to support older people to live with dignity, comfort and joy.
Today, Trinity provides rest home, hospital, dementia and respite care services and is trusted by residents, whānau and the wider community. Many families have returned to Trinity across generations, entrusting the care of parents, grandparents and loved ones to the team time and time again. The members of Trinity's Board have experienced that trust firsthand, having had their own family members cared for within the organisation.
Guided by values of dignity, inclusion and service, Trinity continues to honour its legacy while looking firmly to the future.
That future is already underway. Alongside delivering exceptional care every day, Trinity is embarking on a significant village and care facilities development that will transform the site and help ensure older people in South Taranaki continue to have access to high quality care and living options for generations to come.
About the role
This is a true dual-mandate role, requiring the successful candidate to balance operational excellence in aged care with the delivery of a significant long term development programme.
You will lead an experienced and committed team, building on the strong foundations already in place while ensuring Trinity continues to evolve and thrive.
You will also:
Lead a respected community organisation through its next chapter of growth and transformation
Partner with the Board to deliver Trinity's long term strategic vision
Ensure exceptional care, clinical quality and regulatory compliance across the organisation
Lead a significant retirement village and care facilities development programme
Drive financial performance, sustainability and responsible stewardship of resources
Build trusted relationships with residents, whānau, staff, iwi, community stakeholders and sector partners
Develop and empower a high performing leadership team and culture
Act as the public face of Trinity, building strong relationships and advocating for Trinity across the health, aged care and wider community sectors
Key skills and experience
We are interested in experienced Chief Executives, General Managers and senior leaders who bring strong commercial capability, leadership maturity and genuine empathy for people.
You will bring:
Proven senior leadership experience with responsibility for organisational performance and complex decision making
Strong financial and commercial acumen, ideally within an asset intensive or funding constrained environment
Proven ability to build effective Board relationships
An understanding of highly regulated environments and the ability to balance quality, compliance and commercial outcomes
Experience with major projects, capital works, retirement living, property development or long term transformation programmes
Experience within aged care, health, retirement living or another highly regulated, people centred environment would be advantageous, however we are equally interested in leaders who can demonstrate transferable capability and strong values alignment
Strong relationship building skills across residents, whānau, staff, iwi, community partners, funders and sector stakeholders
Experience leading, empowering and developing capable teams
