About the role
This role is more than just boats, it includes assisting our members, ensuring the grounds and premises are well maintained and presented ship-shape as well as being safe at all times. You will be working in sync with our Weekend Operations team and the wider administration team. The OBC facility operates 24/7 all year round and odd weekend work may be required for specific projects or assistance with events.
What you will be doing
An active member of the OBC Operations group, working in a positive team environment
Maintenance of the Club, Marina, equipment, facilities and structures.
Liaising directly with contractors and suppliers.
Hardstand and marina compliance and hardstand operational requirements.
Regular marina dock walks, hardstand and site perimeter checks
Boat ramp cleaning using club tractors monthly
Maintain tractors, lawnmowers and all machinery onsite
Assist with Bait and Ice store operations
General assistance to members, public & contractors
Assist with cleaning internally & externally - maintain and ensure all club facilities including club facilities are always clean and tidy
About you
Someone with previous experience in general grounds/ marina maintenance who is practical, proactive, and reliable
Experience with boats, happy to roll up their sleeves
Trade, mechanical, or maintenance experience a plus
Confident working outdoors in all conditions
Good with people – able to give members a hand and keep things running smoothly
Strong problem-solver who can think on their feet
Comfortable using computer systems, Microsoft
A real team player with a positive, can-do attitude
