Lead from the front. Build momentum. Make a real impact.
What's in it for you?
Opportunity to lead a growing organisation with real scale and complexity
Genuine influence at both system and community level
Down-to-earth, non-corporate environment where you can get things done
Strong, supportive Board and established leadership team
Role shaped by growth, with the ability to make your mark
Executive-level salary aligned to experience, with a company vehicle provided for work purposes
About the role and organisation
We are looking for a grounded, action-oriented Chief Executive Officer to lead Goodwood Park Healthcare Group, a growing healthcare and social services group delivering critical services across mental health, disability, traumatic brain injury (TBI) and reintegration.
Based out of our Kumeū head office, the organisation operates across multiple sites, delivering essential services to communities and working closely with government and sector partners. This role requires regular travel across sites and a visible, hands-on leadership presence.
This is a practical, people-first environment where flexibility is part of how the organisation works. You'll step into an organisation with strong foundations and real momentum, with the opportunity to shape its next phase of growth and impact.
What you'll be responsible for
Lead strategy across mental health, disability, TBI and reintegration services, ensuring services are culturally responsive and grounded in Te Tiriti o Waitangi and tikanga Māori
Build strong relationships across health, disability and Corrections sectors
Partner closely with the Board, providing clear advice and reporting
Drive financial performance across complex, multi-funder contracts
Lead funding negotiations, contract delivery and growth opportunities
Ensure safe, high-quality, trauma-informed service delivery
Maintain strong clinical governance, compliance and audit readiness
Lead and develop a high-performing leadership team
Build a values-led, resilient and people-first culture
Operating environment
High-needs, high-risk and complex client groups
Multi-agency funding (Health NZ, MoH, ACC, Corrections, MSD)
Highly regulated, visible and risk-sensitive environment
Deep commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, equity and community outcomes
Commitment to partnering with iwi, hapū and Māori stakeholders
About you
You're a practical, down-to-earth leader who knows how to operate in complex environments and get things moving.
You will bring:
Senior leadership experience (CEO, GM or a strong second-tier leader ready to step up)
Experience in healthcare, disability, mental health, corrections or a complex NGO environment
Experience working in partnership with Māori and applying Te Tiriti o Waitangi in practice
Proven ability to lead in high-risk, regulated and multi-funder settings
Strong commercial, financial and operational capability
Confidence working with Boards and in high-accountability roles
A calm, resilient leadership style with the ability to build trust quickly
What will set you apart is how you lead!
You thrive in environments with complexity and pressure. You're comfortable stepping into evolving situations and bringing clarity, direction and momentum.
You've built, grown or transformed parts of an organisation before, not just maintained what was already in place. You're hands-on when needed, visible to your people, and willing to lean into the detail.
You bring a level of resilience and judgement that allows you to operate confidently in a highly scrutinised environment, while still leading with authenticity and a strong sense of purpose.
A clinical background or knowledge is helpful, but not essential.
