About the role
Based at our New Plymouth branch, we have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Delivery Driver / Inwards Goods Assistant to join our busy and close-knit team.
This is a hands-on, varied role where you will play an important part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our branch. Your responsibilities will include picking and packing customer orders, loading delivery vehicles, completing customer deliveries, assisting with inwards goods, unloading stock, and supporting general warehouse operations.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being busy, takes pride in delivering excellent customer service, and thrives in a practical, team-focused environment. You’ll have the opportunity to get involved in all aspects of branch operations while building a long-term career with Chesters.

We’re looking for someone with:
A full NZ Driver’s Licence with the ability to drive a manual vehicle
Previous experience in a similar delivery, warehouse, or inwards goods role (advantageous)
A positive, can-do attitude and proven reliability
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately
Good planning skills and common sense approach to problem solving
Physical fitness and confidence with loading and unloading heavy product
The ability to work independently while also being a strong team player
A friendly personality and willingness to go the extra mile for customers and teammates
A great sense of humour and positive attitude toward teamwork
