About the role: 

As the Powder Coating Applicator, you will perform day to day production tasks, including daily powder coating applications via Electrostatic gun. You will also be responsible for:

  • Surface preparation including sanding, buffing and Fuelite wiping

  • Organising parts and/or material for powder coat processing

  • Cleaning parts before powder coat process. (Sanding, Buffing and Chemical wipe)

  • Providing detailed and accurate logging within MRP system in accordance with SOP’s

  • Checking material is to the correct specifications when required.

  • Hanging and taking off parts on powder coating conveyor

  • Working with team members to maximise productivity and efficiency  

  • Ensuring that work practices are in the guidelines of OSH

  • Keeping the work area tidy, organised, and maintained

 

This is a full-time position   Monday to Thursday, working 10-hour shifts 4.30 am to 3.00 pm or  3.00pm to 1.30am to be confirmed.

 

Previous experience in a powder coating required, most importantly you will:

  • Have the ability to complete tasks within expected time frames  

  • Have strong communication skills  

  • Be a team player

  • Have good attention to detail and organisation skills

  • Be flexible to work shift work and overtime if required

  • Be mechanically minded
