We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established custom cabinetry design, manufacture and installation business based in South Auckland. They specialise in creating high-quality, made-to-measure cabinetry solutions for both new builds and renovation projects.
Operating from a modern, well-equipped facility, the company utilises advanced CAD and Microvellum technology to deliver quality products across a wide range of custom projects.
About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced Production Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of their manufacturing facility and help deliver quality cabinetry solutions from design through to installation.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for preparing production files, coordinating manufacturing workflows, supporting the production team and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
You will work closely with designers, schedulers, installers, suppliers and the manufacturing team to ensure jobs progress smoothly from concept through to completion.
What you’ll be doing
Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing CAD and Microvellum production files for CNC manufacturing
Reviewing files from designers and sales teams and converting them into production-ready outputs.
Preparing door manufacturing sheets and ordering materials as required
Coordinating daily and weekly production workflows alongside the scheduler
Balancing materials, labour requirements and machinery capacity to meet deadlines
Leading, supporting and developing cabinet makers, assemblers and finishing staff
Maintaining high standards of quality control throughout manufacturing and installation
Ensuring health and safety requirements are followed across the workshop and installation projects
Managing employee timecards and hours
Supporting machinery maintenance requirements and ensuring equipment is properly cared for
Ensuring company vehicles and equipment are maintained to a high standard
Supporting designers with technical and manufacturing solutions where required
About you
You will be an experienced cabinetry or joinery professional who understands both the technical and practical side of manufacturing.
You will ideally have:
Proven experience in cabinetry or joinery detailing using Microvellum or similar Cabinet vision
Strong knowledge of cabinet construction methods and manufacturing processes
Experience preparing CNC manufacturing outputs
A strong understanding of materials, hardware and joinery detailing
The ability to interpret architectural and interior design drawings
High attention to detail and a commitment to quality outcomes
Strong communication and coordination skills
The ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines
Experience leading or supporting a manufacturing team
Most importantly, you will be practical, organised and enjoy working collaboratively with a team to deliver high-quality results.
