WestAg is the leading Crop Protection Merchant in the Auckland and Waikato Region.  We service the agricultural and horticultural sectors with chemicals, fertilisers, seeds, and more.  

About the role: 

We are after someone who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves. You will be on the ground, responsible for handling the day to day store operations, dealing with customers providing sales and service to all WestAg’s external customers, processing orders, managing stock, and deliveries. Some lifting involved (up to 30kg), so being physically fit is key.

Day to day

  •  Serving customers with some heavy lifting involved, not always, but certain stock units can weigh up to 30kg

  •  Stock and display management

  •  Ensure orders are placed, processed, including receipting and storing of goods

  •  Collate and consolidate internal orders to maximise freight bookings

  •  Organising orders and delivering to clients

  •  Following company guidelines and H&S policies

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in stores, warehousing, or retail is a big plus

  • Positive, practical attitude – you are the type who gets stuck in

  • Full NZ driver’s licence

  • Confident using a computer for orders and stock entry

  • Forklift and/or Dangerous Goods licence is a bonus

  • Sharp eye for detail – you notice the small stuff

  • Strong numerical skills, along with excellent organisational skills

  • Clear communicator who can hold their own with customers, written and verbal

  • Solid team player
