About Flexible Door Technology

We are a fast-growing, specialist commercial and industrial door company that import, manufacture, install, and service high-performance door systems across New Zealand. We are a small, high-performing team that prides itself on quality, speed, and getting the details right. With a strong pipeline of work, we’re looking for someone who can step in and add real value.

About the Role

This is a technical account management role, not a traditional sales position. You will be responsible for managing client relationships, pricing work, interpreting plans and specifications, and ensuring projects run smoothly from initial quote through to completion.

You will be working closely with builders, engineers, and clients, so strong communication and attention to detail are critical. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing client relationships, including consistent follow up and clear communication

  • Completing site measures and interpreting plans/specifications

  • Managing multiple projects at once with strong attention to detail

  • Acting as the key point of contact throughout the sale process

  • Working in a structured and disciplined way, staying on top of tasks, timelines, and client commitments

This role is Auckland-based with regular travel across Bay of Plenty, Waikato, Hawke’s Bay, and Northland, including some overnight stays.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong technical aptitude (construction, engineering, mechanical or similar)

  • Experience in a technical account management or sales role

  • Confident reading and interpreting plans and specifications

  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail

  • Strong communication skills and professionalism with clients

  • Self-managing, disciplined, accountable, and able to prioritise effectively

  • Full NZ driver’s licence

  • NZ residency or valid NZ working rights

If you’re technically sharp, detail-driven, and enjoy managing projects and client relationships end-to-end, this is a great opportunity to step into a role where you can make a real impact.
