Join a nationwide specialist business servicing and installing high-speed industrial door systems across New Zealand. This is not your typical electrical role. You'll work across a range of commercial and industrial sites, combining electrical fault-finding, mechanical troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and installations.
One day you could be servicing a high-speed door at a busy distribution centre in Christchurch. The next, you might be travelling to another part of the country to commission a new installation. No two days are the same.

About the role
As an Electrical Service Technician, you'll be responsible for installing, servicing, fault-finding, and maintaining high-speed rapid door systems across commercial and industrial sites throughout New Zealand.
This role suits someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, and values building strong relationships with customers.
The role includes regular nationwide travel, including overnight stays (typically around one week per month, depending on workload).
What you'll be doing
Installing and commissioning high-speed rapid door systems
Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs
Performing preventative maintenance and servicing
Providing technical support to customers
Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues
Completing service reports and job documentation via tablet-based systems
Supporting workshop-based activities during non-travel periods
Maintaining a strong focus on health, safety, and quality workmanship
Representing the business professionally on client sites
What you'll bring
NZ Registered Electrician with a current practising licence
Minimum three years' industry experience
Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
Experience working with commercial, industrial, automation, maintenance, HVAC, or service environments
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn specialised systems
Full, clean driver's licence
Strong time management and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
A proactive, customer-focused approach
