Experienced Vinyl Layer - Wellington

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Flooring Installer to join a rapidly growing Wellington-based business. Their team is expanding, and they're seeking someone experienced in measuring, floor preparation, and installing vinyl as per industry standards. Ideally, you'll have a background in the construction industry, can read site plans confidently, work independently, and bring a great attitude to the job.

 

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately measuring floor areas

  • Prepping floors for installation

  • Cutting and installing floor and wall vinyl

  • On occasion cutting and installing conventional carpet and carpet tiles

  • Repairing floor coverings

  • Setting high standards of work

  • Reading plans with awesome attention to detail

 

To be considered, you must have:

  • A Restricted or Full NZ Drivers Licence

  • A Site Safe Passport

  • Proven experience in a similar role

  • Be customer focused with a good work ethic

  • Be a team player who enjoys a team environment

  • Strong problem-solving skills demonstrated in past projects

  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing needs

  • Organisation and punctuality skills

  • Be enthusiastic with a good sense of humour!

From time to time, you may be required to work out of town, which could involve overnight stays. All associated expenses will be covered by the business. Work hours may vary, and some weekend work may be required, so flexibility is important.

Whats on offer?

You will receive a salary of $83,200 - $104,000 per annum dependent on your skills and experience and will be provided with a minimum of 40 hours per week, working Monday to Friday. Optional overtime is available over 40 hours and will be paid at an hourly rate of $40.00 - $50.00 per hour dependent on your skills and experience. There is 1 position available.
