The Position:

As Key Account Manager Wholesale, you will play a critical role in driving sustainable growth across the wholesale channel.

Your primary focus will be building, strengthening, and protecting strategic relationships with Platinum and Gold wholesale partners. These are long term partnerships built on trust, transparency, and a deep understanding of the value Nexans brings to the market.

You will work closely with the Wholesale Sales team and broader business to execute national sales strategies, identify new opportunities, increase end user engagement and grow both share of wallet and margin performance.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing wholesale channel strategies to achieve annual and medium-term growth targets

  • Building deep, trust-based relationships across key wholesale accounts and stakeholder groups

  • Driving growth within Platinum and Gold accounts, including increased market share and profitability

  • Identifying new business opportunities through strong market and customer insight

  • Working with pricing and commercial teams to support pricing strategies and tailored solutions

  • Maintaining a structured call cycle across branch teams, project teams, and decision makers

  • Analysing sales performance and market trends to inform strategy and recommendations

  • Supporting end user engagement and prescription selling across the value chain

  • Providing accurate reporting, forecasting, and CRM updates

  • Collaborating closely with supply chain, marketing, customer solutions, and commercial teams

  • Maintaining strong awareness of market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy and customer solutions

This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week.

Our Ideal Key Account Manager Wholesale:

You will likely come from a Key Account Manager or Business Development Manager background, with a proven track record in B2B or wholesale sales. You will also have:

  • Experience in the electrical cable industry, or a closely related technical or construction supply sector

  • Proven success managing key or national accounts within a wholesale or B2B environment

  • Strong understanding of wholesale channels, branch networks, and routes to market

  • Demonstrated ability to build long term, trust-based relationships across customers and stakeholders

  • Strong commercial capability, including pricing, margin management, and sales performance

  • Confidence identifying and converting growth opportunities through market insight and value-based selling

  • Experience working collaboratively with internal teams such as pricing, marketing, and supply chain

  • Disciplined approach to pipeline management, CRM use, forecasting, and reporting

  • Clear, confident communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels

  • A self-driven, accountable mindset with a genuine team focus
